Home Services Equipment Projects Testimonials
Fortin's Excavating began business in the late 50s working in some of the local mills. Fern Fortin used one of the earliest types of bulldozers and a dump truck to deliver sawdust to residents of the lower mainland. At that time sawdust and coal was the primary fueling source to heat homes.

With the introduction of heating oil and natural gas the need for sawdust became obsolete and Fern used the very same equipment to demolish buildings and excavate building sites.

In 1977 Ferns nephew Chris Bauder purchased the busy little business and currently owns and operates it.
